Why the AFC North is CLEARLY not the best division.

Tumblr_lx8irpqsiy1r06s5u_medium

I remember some chatter on this site last offseason about which the division was the best. I wanted to wait until after the season to revisit the topic and see what the numbers would suggest.

Point Differential since 2012:

NFC West: +494

NFC South: +160

AFC North: +85

AFC West: +74

NFC North: +47

AFC East: - 46

NFC East: - 221

AFC South:-593

A few questions to ponder. How would the Steelers have faired in the NFC West? Which division has the best defenses? Would the Steelers have made the playoffs if they played in the NFC? Is point differential the end all be all stat to answer which division has been the best recently? I don't know, just thought I'd post, what I think, are really telling stats.
