The 2012-13 MVP ready to rebound? I wouldn't bet against it...
Don't we all remember 2012? Who was the go to guy that year in the Red-Zone, the security blanket and team MVP that year? HEATH! We all realize the loss of Cotchery is going to hurt. In 2013 Cotchery was the security blanket for Ben who made a lot of tough catches and did tough work in the Red-Zone. Many are talking about the Rookie Martavis Bryant being able to help out in the Red-Zone, and Lance Moore being the slot WR who can be a security blanket for Ben in 2014 and they probably will make significant contributions. But let me tell you why Heath could once again become one of the go to guys again in 2014.
He's still in the prime of his career, he's now a year separated from that terrible ACL injury, along with that he knows the offense better than a lot of the guys they have on the roster right now, which brings me to this; Ben was asked about the no huddle offense and if it will be utilized as much, he talks about how the guys like Sanders and Cotchery knew the offense very well and that they knew the signals and that could play a role with who's on offense when going no huddle. We all know Ben loves to get the ball to his veteran receivers, and with Heath's familiarity with the system he could be the go to guy once again in the Red-Zone and reestablish himself as the security blanket for Ben once again in 2014. Don't be surprised if your chanting HEEEAAAATTTHHH!! a lot this year.
Here's a great video showing what Heath has done throughout his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtpK8nqKkew
