Steelers signed rookie WR Martavis Bryant to four-year contract

Bryant's agent, Tom Santanello, confirmed with BTSC Bryant and the Steelers have agreed on a contract.

Update: Behind the Steel Curtain has confirmed with Bryant's agent, Tom Santanello of Elevate Football, Bryant has signed a contract with the Steelers. Terms weren't released, and the Steelers have not yet confirmed, now confirmed. When asked whether Bryant would sign Monday, Santanello responded "Yes. Done deal."

Yahoo! Sports reporter Rand Getlin tweeted Monday Steelers fourth round pick Martavis Bryant is expected to sign his contract. It would make sense if the signing took place after the team visits Dave and Busters, as to not tempt the rookie into spending his signing bonus on Skee ball.

Considering Getlin's job description and legal background, we're presuming he got this information from Bryant's agent, Tom Santanello.

The Steelers are expected to sign the three remaining draft picks not yet signed - Bryant, Dri Archer and Stephon Tuitt - very soon, so the timing of this makes sense.

Bryant's contract is expected to be $2,659,220 million over four years with a signing bonus of $439,220.

He's the tallest drafted Steelers receiver since Limas Sweed in 2008, and while that's certainly not a desirable aiming point for Bryant in his career, he's an excellent combination of size and speed. His development over his rookie season will be critical in his career, as he has high level raw ability but not a lot of polish.

If he is a quick study, he may end up challenging second-year WR Markus Wheaton for the team's starting split end position.
