Who doesn't love predictions? I know I sure do, but I enjoy making them as much as I do reading what others might think about an upcoming game. When it comes to making predictions, none can be more difficult than predicting NFL Preseason games. Why you ask? Well the teams rarely play their starters long, and the question of how many points the backups can produce makes for some interesting prognostication.
With the Pittsburgh Steelers traveling to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday night, predictions certainly will be difficult. Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, Le'Veon Bell and other offensive superstars are only expected to play a series or two. Then you can expect to see a mixture of Landry Jones, Tajh Boyd and Tyler Murphy at quarterback.
The Steelers were only able to muster 3 points in the Hall of Fame Game last week against the Minnesota Vikings, while their defense surrendered 14. Will the starters who missed last game on defense (Shamarko Thomas, Mike Mitchell, Cortez Allen and James Harrison) be able to make a difference in what they limit Blake Bortles and the Jaguars offense to do in their limited time on the field?
It will be the battle of the backups in Florida Friday night, and it is time to predict the score of the game. Steelers fans like to prove their greatness, and they can do so by predicting the score better than those weird Jaguars fans. With that said, place your prediction for the final score Friday!
My Steelers vs. Jaguars Preseason Prediction:
Steelers: 20
Jaguars: 14
