The Case For COBI Hamilton

Image result for cobi hamilton image steelers images

Cobi Hamilton has the talent and the desire to be a solid #2 WR for the Pittsburgh Steelers, all he has lacked so far is the opportunity because of the draft pedigree of the players above him on the depth chart, other than Antonio Brown, also a sixth round selection like Cobi Hamilton.

I give you Martavus Bryant, he comes back and he is another legit #1.

Can't give you Sammy Coates. First he has broken fingers on already questionable hands, secondly, I watched he and Cobi both play in the SEC as their careers overlapped. Cobi was the man for Arkansas, making all the catches while I recognized Coates as being slightly better of an athlete, he didn't produce nearly as well as Cobi Hamilton.

Markus Wheaton, you don't get him. For one, where has he been, not just this year but thus far in his career. For two, I don't think Ben trusts him, when if given the opportunity I believe Ben would soon place a lot of trust in Cobi Hamilton making the catches and setting himself up well to make the catch.

Heyward-Bey, from an underachiever to an overachiever with the Steelers, I love the story, but we all know the limitation of this football player.

These players all have better draft status than Cobi Hamilton, but given the opportunity, Cobi will outshine them all. Other than Bryant, if he can stay on the turf and off the weed. Marcus Wheaton is gone next season, I can see Cobi overtaking Sammy Coates on the depth chart this season. if you noticed in the last game, when Cobi received his first real playing time, he was open a couple of times where the BUQB whose name I won't mention, couldn't deliver though he threw the ball in the general direction, otherwise, in my educated opinion, Cobi would caught those as well as the two receptions he did make, one for a touchdown.

Cobi inherited Heath Miller's number 83. Cobi's long hair covers up his name on the back of the jersey, one day, I hope to hear shouts of COBI when Cobi Hamilton makes another reception. A kid can dream...
