Players who tested positive at the combine have never really succeeded in the NFL...except for these guys

So,

How bout' those last minute combine drug test results, huh? Peppers and Foster...and who knows, maybe more to come.

Bill Polian recently said (click here to read it) that, and I quote, "No one that I can think of who tested positive or came up with a positive test at the combine has ever really succeeded. Just keep that in mind when you make the decision."

Hmmm. But is that statement true (seems germane given the Steelers possible interest in drafting both Foster or Peppers)?

Well, "As Mike Greenberg quickly points out, Warren Sapp and Randy Moss both failed pre-draft test and their careers turned out all right. And there are a handful of other players who followed that same path, including Justin Houston, Telvin Smith, Percy Harvin and Timmy Jernigan."

So before we (or they) pass judgement I think we owe players like this the benefit of the doubt.

Joe Thomas recently went on record (which means Twitter, here) throwin' all kinds of Shade at the Commish and NFL, even calling them "anti-water". Well, I can (for the first time) say there's a player on the Browns that I like now.

So what do you think?

Should this effect the Steelers decision to take Peppers or Foster in the 1st round?

Do you think one, or both, fails to 1:30 due to GM's now having some level of doubt?

As for me, I'm going stay on the Peppers train, full speed ahead.
