The hamstrings of Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell will loosen up even more as training camp continues. They have to. The Steelers are counting on them to help Bell dive, duck, dip dodge and dive his way to a 1,500 yards-from-scrimmage season.
That target is far from unrealistic, too. Bell had over 1,200 as a rookie, along with eight touchdowns, in just 13 games last season. He's evolved more as a pass catcher than a runner at this point in his career, but with a limited camp last season (foot injury) that extended into missing the first three games of the season, Bell's Fantasy value is one of the more intriguing questions for Fantasy Football players heading into Draft Month.
He'll gain as much as the Steelers will want him to gain. He was logging 20-plus touches all last season, and while goal line carries may end up being split between himself and LeGarrette Blount (with the fully healthy presence of Heath Miller rounding out the top receiving options), Bell still figures to find himself in the 8-10 score range again this year.
Wide receiver Antonio Brown is a solid second option among the top Steelers producers in standard or PPC formats. While he may not top last year's record-setting performance (110 catches, 1,499 yards), it isn't likely he'll score 10 or more touchdowns, either. Brown had 165 targets last year, the most targets to one receiver in Ben Roethlisberger's career, and the highest total since Santonio Holmes' 138 in 2009. Asking Brown to get the ball 10 times a game works strategically, but it's a risk offensively. The Steelers added Lance Moore this offseason with the idea in mind of getting him the ball as well, perhaps often enough to consider Moore the team's No. 2 option.
Bell will take some of those targets, as will Miller. Brown will still likely have a big season, but the opportunity won't be as bountiful as it was in 2013.
