Some guys just don't understand what it means to wear the black and gold. Smh

When the Pittsburgh Steelers released LeGarrette Blount Tuesday, it sent shock waves throughout the entire fan base and community that follows the team. Include former Steeler players in that group as well.
On Wednesday, ex-Steelers running back Isaac Redman took to Twitter to send one clear and concise message summing up the entire Blount situation.
"Some guys just don't understand what it means to wear the black and gold. Smh"
That sentiment very well could be copied, or re-tweeted, by almost every fan that has followed the team for any period. Coming from Redman though, it carries even more weight.
Redman understands what it's like to be in the locker room and to be a part of the Steelers' organization. He also knows what it's like to see your carries dwindle down to the point where you eventually lose your job.
Redman lived the role as the backup running back who only got so many chances to prove his worth, and Redman typically thrived in that role. He surely had felt the same way Blount did at certain times during his career with the Steelers, but he obviously handled his feelings differently.
Just as the Steelers cut ties with Blount on Tuesday, they had cut ties with Redman in October of 2013 after he was on the inactive list for back-to-back weeks. Although Redman's NFL career is now over due to a spinal cord injury suffered during his playing days, Blount is wondering whether a team will take a chance and sign him to its active roster.
