The Falcons got the third interception of Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer late in the fourth quarter. The Falcons were driving, and looking like at least a field goal was in grasp.
Calling timeout to stop the clock, a deep throw on third down - a horrible pass from Falcons QB Matt Ryan - relying on a 53-yard field goal to take the lead...all relatively negative, except for the fact the field goal was good.
It just gave Cleveland plenty of time to move down the field for the game-winning field goal against a porous Falcons defense.
It's rare to see two quarterbacks playing as poorly as Hoyer and Ryan did in this game, and to see a result which appeared to be more Atlanta's offense choosing every wrong decision down the stretch, but Cleveland improves to 7-4 on the season, taking third place in the highly competitive AFC North.
With a Bengals victory over the Houston Texans, the Steelers sit in second place pending the Ravens at Saints game on Monday Night Football. A Ravens victory will boost them to second place in the division, and move the Steelers to third place. The Browns would technically be in last in the Ricky Bobby division of the NFL - if you're not first, you're last.
