He may get two plays. He may play the whole first quarter. What we know, though, is Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier will play tonight against the Buffalo Bills.
And it feels like it's a long time coming. Probably because it has been.
Since the Steelers selected Shazier, one of the most athletic picks in recent memory, the buzz has been surrounding the return to a faster, more explosive offense. How much of that we can determine from just a preseason game, at the very least, we know he'll be out there.
The "boo boo" he had on his knee, as Steelers coach Mike Tomlin described, was upgraded to a "bone bruise," and cost Shazier the better part of last week as well as the entire preseason opener. He was questionable leading into the game.
This is your first half open thread. We'll have the second half one...at the start of the second half.
Enjoy, have fun, don't attack each other and be respectful to everyone - Steelers fans as well as fans and onlookers from other teams.
