The Steelers have made their last cuts to the roster before their last preseason game against the Carolina Panthers this Thursday. The team needed to release a total of six players in order to get their roster down to the correct size, and among those cut was the second-year player, Brian Arnfelt. Included with him were offensive linemen Chris Elkins, Emmanuel McCray, long-snapper Luke Ingram, defensive lineman Hebron Fangupo and running back Tauren Poole.

Earlier in the day, the Steelers cut outside linebacker Vic So'oto, tight end Eric Waters, defensive backs Jordan Dangerfield, Lew Toler and Devin Smith, wide receivers C.J. Goodwin and Kashif Moore, Miguel Maysonet and Jordan Hall.
Their roster is now at 75 heading into Thursday's final preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he will largely rest his starters, including Ben Roethlisberger, Troy Polamalu and Jason Worilds, but defensive end Brett Keisel will get extensive work. Landry Jones is expected to take the bulk of the snaps under center against the Panthers.
Final cuts are due into the league by 4 p.m. Aug. 31.
