Ben Roethlisberger needs two touchdowns to tie Terry Bradshaw's all-time franchise record of 212

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

And three touchdown passes to break Bradshaw's record of 212. If Roethlisberger is to break it, he'll need to do something he's only done once in 13 games against the Ravens.

It's a foregone conclusion Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be the franchise's best in terms of touchdown passes. He needs two more to break Terry Bradshaw's mark of 212, set en route to induction to Canton.

What would it mean if he broke it against the Ravens Thursday night?

Quite a bit, considering he's only thrown for more than two touchdowns against Baltimore one in 13 career games. That was the Monday Night massacre, a 38-7 pummeling of the overmatched Ravens in which Roethlisberger threw for a career-high five touchdowns. He finished with a perfect 158.3 rating in that game. He threw five touchdowns one other time, a 38-17 win over Tennessee in 2011 was the other.

Three against the Ravens seems equally daunting, statistically. He's only thrown more than one touchdown pass in four of those games - winning three of the four.

The reigning AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October has struggled like most have against a fierce Ravens defense, but if he's gonna eventually break it, why not against the Ravens - a team he's made a career over his individual plays more so than his statistics in this game, which would make the record all the more sweet.

The Steelers and Ravens kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET in Baltimore.
