We Have a Winner....

The inaugural Behind the Steel Curtain Pick 'Em Challenge has concluded. Congratulations to Chris Pokorny for winning the $100 first place prize!

You can check out Chris' blog at Dawgs by Nature for great football insight. He obviously knows a thing or two or he wouldn't have won.

Thanks to all for participating, and rest assured the contest will run even smoother next year.

P.S. to zknower...I will be emailing you in the next few days. You deserve some sort of prize for finishing the regular season tied, only to have me change the rules :)

Yup
Big kudos to CP for a terrific season of picking. NFL games are the hardest in the world to handicap.

Agree with Blitz's idea to reward zknower for the tie finish at the end of the regular season. Great job by both players.

Yay!

How does it feel that you have to award a Cleveland Browns fan, of all people now? ;)

Thanks for the contest and to the people who congratulated me. I was very surprised to be in this position, as I kept chipping away at the leaders as the season moved on, before finally reaching a tie for first place after the final week of the season.

KUDOS TO CHRIS!!
Blitz, I need no consolation prize.

Here's how I see it: Chris tied me the last week of the season. Even if you hadn't changed the rules, he'd have won the following week, when he correctly picked 4/4 Wild Card games ( to my 3/4) and pulled ahead of me.

So as far as I'm concerned, he wins either way and should get the whole kit 'n' kaboodle.

Thanks for the offer though, and again—great contest!
