Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Around the Nation

Let's take a look at what some of the other SBN bloggers have to say about their team's drafts.

*Just about everybody seems to think the Cleveland Browns made out like bandits in the first round of this year's draft. Dawgs by Nature hasn't produced a final recap of the Browns' draft, but he like everybody else, seems to be shocked and ecstatic that they were able to snag both Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn on the first day. You've heard all the arguments for and against Quinn by now, and I don't have too much to add, but I will say this: the Browns gave up a lot to snag Quinn. There's just no way they make the playoffs this year, meaning they'll probably be giving up a top-10 pick next year. I have a feeling they might end up regretting not taking Adrian Peterson when they had the chance at #3.

*Our Miami Dolphins blogger at The Phinsider, has run the gamut of emotions since draft day. During a live blog of the event, he had this to say about the selection of Ted Ginn at #9:

I'm so angry!! This is terrible!!! How do you pass on Brady Quinn?????? I'm speechless right now. Ted Ginn better be the next coming of Steve Smith because that's the only way you pass on Quinn.

By yesterday, he seemingly had convinced himself that it was a great pick:

A lot has been said about this pick by everyone, including me. But the more I think about it, the more I get excited. We all know this offense needs more firepower. And that is exactly what Ginn will bring to Miami. He's extremely explosive and I'm confident that Cam Cameron will find ways to get him the ball. His route running is something that is coachable, but you can't teach speed. That's the key here. As far as his injury, he has 4 to 6 weeks in a walking boot and then 6 weeks of rehab. However, that puts him on pace to be ready anywhere from a week before training camp to a week into training camp. That's not too big of a deal, as he will be still attending practice and studying the offense and will be familiar with it prior to hitting the field. I got a feeling that we are all going to grow to love this pick once Ginn hits the field in Week 1 in September.

*Falcons fans are pleased with what they were able to accomplish during this year's draft.

*So are Colts supporters.

*And then there's the Houston Texans. Again, bless our colleagues' hearts--they're all so unconditionally supportive of their teams. But if you ask me, the Texans blew it yet again. They absolutely can't stop taking defensive players with their first round picks. Not that that's a totally ridiculous philosophy. But, when you have Ahmad Green as your starting RB, only one legitimate WR, and an offensive line that is more porous than swiss cheese, you may need to think about drafting some top-notch talent on the offensive side of the football.

Cowboys fans are tickled pink
they stole Cleveland's #1 pick which could very well even be the #1 overall pick in the 2008 draft, depending on bad they suck next this year.

Guess who suddenly becomes my second favorite team?
Whoever is playing the Brownies. Cowboys and Steelers fans will have something in common next season.
