Question of Logic

I was just watching  ESPN newscasts on the release of the Matt Walsh Spygate tapes to the NFL commissioner.  One of these tapes involved a Steelers / Patriots AFC championship game.  ESPN  believed that from the info released, no further action by the commissioner was warranted.  They also implied that these tapes (of both offensive and defensive signals) were for future use.  In my opinion this is contrary to all logic.  Why take tapes of the signals unless they could be of immediate use, especially an AFC championship game.  It seems that they had to have some sort of method to review the tapes at another location and then forward their results.

I'm no conspiracy theorist but if you could review and interpret the tapes from the first half and give the opponents signals to your coaching staff, for example at half time, they would be game changing.  Perhaps this could also account for the Pat's vaunted ability to comeback in the second half.

Is this scenario far fetched, or should it be dismissed.

NFL Draft Points

Fellow Steeler fans I was just speculating on the possibility of the Steelers trading down in order to  get extra draft picks.  This is especially true if there are no good value "best available athletes" in positions desired and another team wants to move up.  What I'm trying to get at is, what is the value for their first round pick (#23) in the draft vs other positions.  I know there is some sort of point system given for each number in each round.
I've used various search engines and can't find this data.  Does anyone know either a site or the method to determine these values.  Appreciate your help!

Fine Tuning

I don't know how you all feel, but I'm beginning to see a fine hand in all these free agent acquisitions (Fox, Moore, Hartwig and McFarland).  Be it either Tomlin or Colbert (most likely both), their signings are mostly short term, quality and proven players, who apparently have a desire to win.  They also seem to be players whose experience will enable us to maintain our competitive edge and at the same time allow training for their replacements.  No matter what, these signings show a FO that is off their duff and willing to spend the appropriate level of cash.  In other words I'm finally feeling more at ease with the team vis a vis the competition.  Comments Please!
