*The Jason Campbell era in Washington has commenced. Joe Gibbs finally pulled the plug on the aging Mark Brunell. Check out what Skin Patrol had to say about the decision.
*The Seattle Seahawks navigated through a potentially bumpy part of their schedule with Matt Hasselback and Shaun Alexander injured. Seneca Wallace has filled in admirably, leading the Seahawks to a 2-game advantage (3 essentially, because of tiebreakers) over the St. Louis Rams. Now, the two Pro-Bowlers are healing and may start Sunday against the up-start San Francisco 49ers.
*Remember this preseason when we were talking about employing the no-huddle offense? We haven't done much of it this year, but the Eagles have. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg called for the no-huddle on 7 of 10 possesions in the Eagles' 27-3 rout of Washington. I don't think it would be prudent to implement a new look with Pittsburgh yet to find a consistent rhythm all year, but it's interesting to see an NFL team besides the Colts have some success with the strategy.
*The Steelers made a strange, and most certainly inconsequential move today, re-signing Brian St. Pierre. To make room on the roster, Pittsburgh released linebacker Ron Staley.
