Some have scoffed at my suggestion that the Steelers trade up for LenDale White of USC. While it may be a longshot to actually happen, it's not out of the realm of possibilities, and I'm not the only one who's having this thought.
In yesterday's NFL Draft chat, draft guru Mel Kiper Jr floated the same thought:
When you look at the RB situation, if the Steelers were to move up, it would be for LenDale White.
We can have a healthy debate about whether the Steelers should target the running back or wide receiver position as their highest draft need, but I'm not the only one who thinks that going after White would be a terrific move for the Steelers if the price to move up isn't too high. White could step in quickly to be the Next Great Steeler Running Back. I hope it happens.
