*Rodney Bailey had a solid day yesterday working with the second team defense. During their session indoors at St. Vincent College's gymnasium, Bailey made several impressive plays, including one where he blew right by rookie offensive tackle Willie Colon in one-on-one pass-rushing drills.
*Trai Essex is getting lots of snaps at guard, and it appears as if he will be replacing Barret Brooks as a significant contributor on gamedays.
*Brett Keisel was the star of one-on-one drills. Of all the lineman, Keisel looks to be the best pass-rusher by far.
*As schnifin pointed out yesterday, Nate Washington continues to impress. He made a beautiful diving catch on a deep ball thrown by Charlie Batch yesterday.
*Verron Haynes was the only offensive player to fumble yesterday. Haynes, as we've discussed, is looking for more carries this year. He got stripped by Casey Hampton, but who wouldn't fumble if Hampton got a hand on the ball.
*Santonio Holmes, Willie Reid, and Cedric Wilson were fielding punts during special teams sessions. It's likely that Washington will field some as well before camp is over.
