Camp Report: August 4th

A few notes from Friday's morning session before heading home for the day...

After being verbally abused by Coach Cowher after yesterday's lackluster practice, the offense responded nicely on Friday morning.  Some observations:

*Cedrick Wilson was back from his minor achilles issue and made a diving catch in the back of the endzone.  I really like Wilson (perhaps too much)and I still think he's going to be a big contributor.

*Nate Washington continues to impress. He'd have to be considered the brightest spot for the offense this camp.

*I'm excited to watch Omar Jacobs play some in the preseason games.  He's got a cannon for an arm and has deft touch to boot.  He hooked up with Quincy Morgan perfectly on a deep TD ball.

*Most of the injuries are on the defensive side of the ball.  Eugene Baker, Mike Kudla, James Farrior, Deshea Townsend, and Joey Porter were all spectators this morning.  Hopefully these injuries weren't the main reason for the offense's success.
