A Glimpse Ahead...

Here's a few preliminary notes about Monday's game against the 1-0 Jacksonville Jaguars:

*The Steelers are 0-3 in September playing in Jacksonville.  Maybe it's the heat, I don't know, but the Steelers have been far more successful later in the year against the Jags, and even better at home.

*Ben Roethlisberger, Jerame Tuman, and Troy Polamalu are all questionable for Sunday's game according to Coach Cowher.  I think all three will play. I actually worry about the absence of Troy more so than Ben at this point in the season, but during today's press coference, Cowher let it be known that he expects Ben to start this coming Monday.

*The Jaguars lost a key ingredient of their defense when DE Reggie Hayward was lost for the season with a rupture achilles tendon. Hayward led the team in sacks last year. Ouch.

*I was really impressed by 2nd year WR Matt Jones while watching the Dallas-Jax game.  The former college quarterback is fast, has great hands, is big and physical, and is slowly learning how to get open.  I suspect Ike Taylor will be on him throughout much of the game.

Much, much more to come throughout the week as we prepare for Week 2.  I have my Power Rankings completed, just having trouble getting them on the site. Check back for those later in the day.  Small hint...Steelers are still #1.
