Roethlisberger's Alma Mater To Retire His Number

New, comments

BYE Weeks are glorious for NFL players. You rest your body over the weekend, perhaps play golf if you're a 41 year old punter, spend some time with family, and if you're Ben Roethlisberger, get your collegiate number retired.

Not really the most fitting image of Ben's illustrious college career, but it's the best I could find

Roethlisberger, who gave up his final year of eligibility to enter the NFL Draft, was a legend at Miami University, winning a boatload of games and compiling some astronomical numbers as well. Anyone know where I can find his college statistics? It'd be fun to do a story on some of his most exciting college games. Anyway, Roeth of course was honored and excited for Saturday's festivities.

"I'm truly honored to be able to go back there for that so it's good - it's going to be fun to go back and see Coach Montgomery and the rest of the football team," he said.
