The Cardinals young and promising season derailed this Sunday when Kurt Warner injured his non-throwing elbow. Warner has said that he thinks he has torn ligaments but no MRI results have been made public yet. The Cards are calling it a sprained left elbow and list him as "out indefinitely." Newly signed Tim Rattay will start but the Cards will no doubt have to sign another quarterback in the upcoming days because Rattay and Warner are the only QBs on the 53 man roster.
Titans quarterback, Vince Young, has all of Tennessee in a panic after he left Sunday's game with a strained quad. He is officially listed as day to day. VY said that he doesn't think he could have come back into game and be effective if they would have needed him and didn't practice on Monday. The Titans will also be without wide receiver Brandon Jones for a couple weeks after he had arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday.
The Ravens will play without starting quarterback Steve McNair for the second consecutive week in an effort to get him "fully healthy" after their bye week. McNair, known for always playing hurt, has been nursing a lingering groin injury as well as a sore back. It's probably not that big of a deal as it seems because backup, Kyle Boller, has played in four of the six games this year and has started two of those. Boller has been about the same quarterback that he's been his whole career with a QB rating of 76.7 on the year and having thrown two touchdowns and two interceptions. I don't think I have to point out who the Ravens opponent is after the bye week, so I won't even mention that it's your beloved Steelers.
This isn't exactly injury news but Marc Bulger says he tired of sitting on the sidelines with broken ribs and watching his team lose. He has said he'll play this Sunday against Seattle and coach Linehan has said he'll be cleared to play. It won't matter because as 0-6 the Rams season is effectively over and Stephen Jackson is still expected to miss his third consecutive game. The line is in shambles as well as four starters are already declared out for this week and center Brett Romberg, the only lineman to start all six games, sprained his ankle last week and his status is in question.
Trent Green doesn't appear ready to call it a career as he's saying that he wants to return to the field sometime in the future. He did say he's been studying the possible side effects of returning including dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Why he would even think about returning with side effects like those three is baffling to me. His best shot would be to try and sign as the backup to Manning or Brady if he still has aspirations of getting a title.
I'm sure I missed some, so you guys fill me in and how do you think these injuries will effect thier respective teams.
