*The Steelers will have two extra decisions to make on the 2nd day of the 2007 NFL Draft. The picks were issued by the NFL as a result of the departure of free agents from Pittsburgh.
The picks certainly aren't high, but hey, we'll take it. A pick in the fourth round is the first compensatory pick of the entire draft. It's the 33rd pick of the 4th round, and the 132nd overall. The Steelers also will have the first compensatory pick of the 5th round, the 170th overall.
That leaves Pittsburgh with 9 total picks in this year's draft.
*In other news, although the Steelers' schedule has not yet been released, we do know unfortunately, that they will not be one of the ten teams to play on national TV during Week 1.
This year's Thursday Night Opener features the defending Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts, and the New Orleans Saints. Should be a good one. The first Sunday night game on NBC will feature the Cowboys and Giants; and Monday Night Football will be a double header between the Ravens at the Begnals and the 49ers at the Cardinals.
