Kreider's days numbered?

New, comments

Not only are Dan Kreider's days numbered in Pittsburgh, but that number might be in the single digits.  It was reported about a week ago that Kreider might not dress for some games this year and now news is leaking out from "team officials" that he's #2 fullback on the depth chart and that he might not even make the team!?  It never even crossed my mind that this offense would change so much that Dan Kreider couldn't even make the roster but it looks like it's heading that way.  Apparently the coaching staff likes Carey Davis's versatility because he can play special teams as well as run, block and catch the ball out of the backfield.  Maybe I'm making too big of a deal about this but I think every time we see this team fail to convert a 3rd and 1 or settle for a field goal from the 2 yard line we'll wonder if it would have turned out different with Kreider in the backfield.

There's also some interesting stuff in the rest of the article about free safety and Timmons' play against Washington.

Also it sounds like Colon may have beat out Starks for the starting right tackle job and that the starting five could be finalized.  This also raises the question will Pittsburgh pay top dollar for two backups with Okobi at $2 million and Starks at $1.8.
