A few links to start the day:
* Alan Faneca was named to the AP All-Pro Team. It was the 5th time in 10 years that Faneca has received that distinction. For him financially, the timing couldn't have been better, because for those that actually watched the Steelers every game(which I highly doubt most members of the AP did), it's been apparent Faneca's play was not All-Pro caliber for parts of the season. Regardless, congratulations to Alan on adding another feather to his already very full cap.
* Other teams hate it. Our players love it. I'm talking about the turf at Heinz Field. After the Miami game this year it appeared to be a done-deal that there would be a shift away from the natural stuff to artificial turf at Heinz. Now, it's not so clear.
* Doesn't look like Bill Cowher will be leaving the booth for the sidelines in Washington.
* Mike Tomlin will hold his final press conference today at the team's South Side facility. I'll try to post some of it later if it's worthwhile.
