Bye Week (Cleveland) Thoughts

Well here we are. Staring at a 12-4 season. Havent had one of those in quite a while.

Despite the ups and downs I am quite happy with our performance. I think we've proven we can beat the best. We just have to make sure we dont beat ourselves.

Anyway, we have a double bye coming up. Its a real treat. I love how the schedule makers jumped on the Cleveland bandwagon last year. They thought OMG cleveland is going to be something now. So using their brilliance, they opted to schedule a Browns At Steelers game on the last week of the season.

And at their 4th QB, I now dub this game a bye week.

I believe we should let the offense play until they have a solid lead. Its simple, the offense has not been great all year. Hasnt really even been good. We need to get a little rhythm going into the playoffs. I like to consider this game "practice with contact"

As far as the Defense goes. Lets let troy try to get the league leading INT count. Edward Reedicus tied him, and I dont like that guy.

Allow Steeler Sack Record Holder Deebo to rest that hip of his.

Let Timmons start, and lets see some of Bruce Davis.

I want Limas Sweed in most of the game.

I'd like to see Tony Hills get a few rounds at RT later in the game. \

I just figure we should get the offense going a little, then let Lefty or Dixon take over. I'd like to see some of our weekly inactives get out there too on defense. But in general, it would just be nice to get some rest and some momentum.

Steamrolling the browns will be fun and easy, and then we can start preparing for the real task at hand. Beating the Ten'Teeth Titans.
