Rookie wide receiver Antonio Brown likely will dress for his first NFL game this coming Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans. Fellow rookie Emmanuel Sanders is dealing with a quadricep injury that Sanders himself said was more serious than he initially thought. If Sanders can't go or is excessively burdened by the quad come the weekend, it would make sense that Brown would get the start. Brown and Sanders reportedly compete directly each week for the final spot on the wide receiver depth chart.

I know there are some fans who'd like to see Brown dress for kick and punt returning purposes regardless of whether he sees many looks as a WR. That day is coming, and soon I'd imagine. I did however agree with Tomlin's decision to use Antwaan Randle El as the punt returner during Week 1. There was already enough pressure on Dennis Dixon...why risk a costly rookie turnover while Dixon is battling nerves and trying to get the 'first one behind him'?

Right now, Brown has a more pressing task and assignment: emulating Tennessee Titans' All World running back Chris Johnson during practice this week. Brown appears to be quite thrilled about being singled out by Tomlin and having an enhanced role at practice this week. We've heard about Brown's 'cocky' demeanor from Ed Bouchette here, and since then, he was cut down to size some by Tomlin. We'll see how he responds to the big stage if it is in fact his time come Sunday
