It's already Friday and time to start thinking about Sunday's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals, but one last quick look back to Pittsburgh's 17-13 win in Week 6 over the Jacksonville Jagaurs. Some contenders for our weekly fictitious game ball here on Behind the Steel Curtain...
- Rashard Mendenhall: 23 rushes, 146 yards, 1 TD
- James Farrior: 11 tackles (6 solo), 1 sack
- Brett Keisel: 6 tackles (4 solo), 2 sacks
- LaMarr Woodley: 8 tackles (4 solo), 2 sacks
Mendenhall was named AFC Player of the Week for his efforts, but let's mix things up and share the hardware. Firstly, I'd be remiss for not mentioning that Woodley has been impressive since I wrote about his lack of productivity several weeks ago. Woodley now has 5.0 sacks on the season and 3.5 in his last two. Great stuff from Woodley.
However, this week I'm going with Brett Keisel for his 2 sack performance. The Steelers defense is a lot faster and more athletic when Keisel is healthy, and Dick LeBeau can dial up a whole lot more looks when Keisel is occupying attention and blockers up front.
