The 49ers hot start defensively may have sapped the energy supply for the archaic Candlestick Park.
The power went out for the second time tonight, this time with 12:13 left in the second quarter, and San Francisco leading 6-0 in a fairly uninspiring performance from Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger.
Despite his two interception first quarter, Roethlisberger provided the highlight of the glitchy night when a fan ran onto the field.Roethlisberger, who was in conversation with back-up QB Byron Leftwich, said, "Where's James Harrison when you need him?"
It was in reference to a game in 2004 when Harrison, then a back-up linebacker with the Steelers, scooped up a fan who made his way onto the field, and likely shattered most bones and tendons in his shoulder by lifting and dropping him on the ground in Cleveland.

As it is, it's another delay and perhaps that's a good thing for the Steelers.
Or at least Roethlisberger, who's making Steelers fans wonder if he really should be playing in this game. As it is, Charlie Batch is warming up on the sideline during the delay.
