BTSC 2011 Community Mock Draft Pick No. 21 -- Kansas City Chiefs Select Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois

No word from Wichita SunSteeler so I'm jumping in and making the Kansas City Chiefs selection at No. 21. Next up: the Indianapolis Colts, represented by barnerburner. -Michael B. -

The Chiefs could sure use a bigtime playmaker at wide receiver, but I don't think there's a talent out there worthy of such a high pick in this year's crop of WRs. Jonathan Baldwin of Pitt is one possibility, but I think that's a bit of a stretch for the Chiefs who also have needs in other departments.

I'm turning my attention to the other side of the ball -- the defense -- where KC could use more speed and talent in their linebacker corps. The sexy pick at the moment would be Martez Wilson, who has become somewhat of a household name as a result of his incredible Combine performance. Even though I think he has a bit too much 'bust' potential for my liking, he might be hard to pass up here at 21. He and Eric Berry would certainly give the Chiefs a great combination of speed and ball hawking skills over the middle of the field.
