There had been some speculation the last several days that all seven of the Pittsburgh Steelers rookies had signed their contracts and were at Latrobe for training camp. There had been confirmed sightings of five of the seven rooks by Dale Lolley as of yesterday. On Friday, the remaining two -- first rounder Cameron Heyward, and third rounder Curtis Brown -- put ink to paper and officially began their professional careers. Heyward agreed to a four-year contract with a team option for a fifth year while Brown is believed to have signed a standard four-year deal. No salary figures have yet to be disclosed.
Congratulations to all seven rookies on their first professional contracts. Definitely a huge moment in their lives. Now, time to get to work!
More soon on Heyward's first practice as well as other notes from day two of taining camp from Latrobe.
