Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger rolled his ankle in Thursday's practice

Steelers starter says he's fine, no problems expected right now

Don McPeak-US PRESSWIRE

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger reportedly rolled his ankle in practice Thursday, but told reporters afterward he should be fine for Sunday's Week 7 game at Cincinnati.

It's high-time he gets injured in some way. Behind an offensive line that's provided decent protection and a quick-passing strategy, Roethlisberger hasn't taken the amount of hits he normally does through six games.

No word has been released on how Roethlisberger rolled his ankle, but Marcus Gilbert could be a suspect.

Marcus Gilbert probably is a suspect, let's be honest.

As it is, this seems more like Twitter fodder than anything else. If Roethlisberger was seriously hurt ...he'd probably do the exact same thing he's doing now. It doesn't really make much of an impact. Rolled ankles don't keep players like Roethlisberger out of games.

Get him some tape and some ice, he'll probably be fine come Sunday.

We will continue to monitor the situation though.
