Tomlin Press Conference: Harrison, Polamalu and Mendenhall Set To Practice

Jason Bridge-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

What a tough lede by Steelers beat reporter Alan Robinson of the Tribune-Review.

For the first time since training camp began, the Pittsburgh Steelers' injury list doesn't contain any Pro Bowl players."

Ouch.

Ouch, in the sense the Steelers' key players have been ravaged by injuries all season, and ouch for right tackle Marcus Gilbert (groin), the only player listed on the report.

It again doesn't mean running back Rashard Mendenhall, safety Troy Polamalu or linebacker James Harrison will play Sunday in the Steelers' game against Philadelphia, but it doesn't mean they won't play either.

The Steelers will probably be ok with that, for the time being.

All are expected to practice Wednesday, and barring set-backs this week, could play - in Mendenhall's and Harrison's case, it'd be for the first time this year.

That being said, all it really shifts the story to is how much they'd play in the event they make it back.
