Coming off a much needed bye week, the Steelers head into a huge week five matchup vs. their cross-state rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles. This Eagles defense is extremely talented and has skill players in every group. However, that does not mean that you can't play some of the Steelers players this week in fantasy football.
Start Em:
Ben Roethlisberger - Roethlisberger is a must start in every league. He is one of the top five QBs in the league and will put up points vs. any defense. Projection: 23 for 30, 315 yards, 3TD, 0INT
Mike Wallace - Wallace has 3 touchdowns in 3 games and I expect him to continue that trend. He will also probably have a huge catch or two because the Eagles defense tends to give up big plays. Projection: 4 Rec, 112 Yards, 1TD
Antonio Brown - Brown is coming off a good statistical game but a horrible game on the field. I expect him to show up big this week. Projection: 5 Rec, 70 Yards, 1TD
Heath Miller - Miller has 4TDs in 3 weeks and has probably been the best TE in the league so far. I expect him to continue his impressive season. Projection: 3 Rec, 41 Yards, 1TD
Emmanuel Sanders - Sanders has a favorable matchup in the slot vs. Brandon Boykin and could have his best game of the year. However, I would only start him in big leagues at a flex or WR3 spot. Projection: 4 Rec, 63 yards
Sit Em
Rashard Mendenhall - This will cover all four of the Steelers running backs listed. Here is why I think they should all be sat this week. When a team has a plethora of talented backs, it helps their on field performance but kills their fantasy value. It is impossible to predict which ones of these 4 backs will have good games, if any. I think they run for a total of 110 yards or so and a TD but thinking about which one will get the yards and the TD is not possible. Sit all four backs until one of them emerges as the star. However, if you have a roster spot available, I would pick up Mendenhall today.
Jonathan Dwyer
Isaac Redman
Chris Rainey
Steelers Defense - The Steelers defense has been atrocious this year and can't be trusted yet. I would drop them in all honesty.
