Steelers win game, lose Big Ben in 16-13 (OT) Monday Night thriller

New, comments

The Steelers ran their winning streak to four games, but paid a hefty price in doing so.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a shoulder injury in Pittsburgh's 16-13 (OT) win over Kansas City in Week 10, and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin classified his injury as a "shoulder sprain," and is listing him as "questionable" for the Steelers' Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The injury occurred in the third quarter of the game, with the Steelers and Chiefs tied at 10. It came on a third down passing play where Roethlisberger was sacked - one of two Chiefs sacks on the game - forcing the Steelers punt.

Back-up Byron Leftwich replaced him, and led the Steelers to a field goal in regulation. The Chiefs tied the game at 13 on a last-second field goal, but a Lawrence Timmons interception - off a tipped pass from Brett Keisel - led to a Shaun Suisham chip-shot for the winner.

Tomlin confirmed Byron Leftwich is the "acting starter" in preparation for a Roethlisberger absence, should that be the case.
