I was fortunate enough recently to be asked to contribute to Pittsburgh Magazine's Ultimate Fan Guide issue, and I'm glad they did. The quality of the writing is enough for me to learn more than a few things about, you know, how to write.
While this is a bit self-serving of a post, it really is a great guide to the fan experiences of PNC Park, CONSOL Energy Center and, of course, Heinz Field. Given the Pirates' success this season, and the impending preseason games for the Steelers, it's a great time to bone up on perhaps a few sites and features around these facilities you may not have thought about and would like to see.
The layout of the magazine itself is great, so if nothing else, it's worth a view, or a reference guide to where to eat and drink before Pittsburgh sporting events. Keep it handy, I've got a trip back there scheduled in the future and I know I'll take a new approach to my viewing experience.
