Who's up for a fight?
Plenty of Pittsburgh Steelers, as it turns out. Personally, I think it's great. No, not because I'm a violence-for-pleasure-seeking psychopath. I think an intense, physical game in steamy, stressful conditions should bring out a competitor's temper.
I'd be more worried if they didn't want to kick the tar out of each other after a few days.
Knocking on wood again today as the injury report hasn't seen anything major, and seems to be pretty quiet around the league as well. Heck, even Bryant McKinnie found his way to camp, nursing a "back injury." Yeah, and baseball teams cite "flu-like symptoms when a player is hungover, too.
I only mention bookend blockers because of the Steelers' reported experiments with LB Stephenson Sylvester and LB Brandon Johnson on the outside. It didn't seem to fare too well for either of them, but it does show a glimpse into the minds of the Steelers. They're looking for depth, and perhaps that can be traced to Jason Worilds' inability to get on the field due to a wrist injury.
Or, maybe they just really like rookie LB Sean Spence at the buck. Thoughts?
