Steelers Vs. Panthers Second Half Open Thread

Penalties aside, those were two phenomenal runs by the rookie offensive weapon, and clearly locked down the punt return job for at least Week 1.

Also notable was the sideline-to-sideline speed of rookie LB Sean Spence. In extended time, Spence looked outstanding in coverage particularly, as he continues to improve as a player.

The most non-rookie on the team, QB Charlie Batch, gave everyone a few things to remember him by if this was the last time he dons a Steelers uniform. A picture-perfect pass to Emmanuel Sanders from 37 yards away gave the Steelers an early 7-0 lead. K Shaun Suisham hit a 49-yard field goal to put the Steelers up 10-0.

After surrendering a field goal, the Steelers still are holding to that 10-3 lead into the third quarter.
