A particularly excited Robert Golden tweeted Friday afternoon he has made the Steelers 53-man roster.
Golden had an impressive preseason after going undrafted in 2012 out of Arizona. He looked to establish some depth at safety, a position that's lacked a younger project kind of player for a few years.
Golden's spot is critical for Week 1, as starting FS Ryan Clark will be inactive due to a medical condition affected by high altitudes. FS Ryan Mundy will likely make the start, opposite SS Troy Polamalu.
It's been a positive day for the younger guys BTSC has had an eye on since the start of camp. Adrian Robinson's agent, as well as NFL reporter Adam Caplan, tweeted earlier Robinson was also placed on the 53-man roster, although it's unclear if both of them will still have a spot after the first game.
The roster looks to continue to move and shake until then, with more announcements about players who didn't make the team coming soon.
When I say God is good!! He is too Good!!! Thank You Lord!!! Thank You Lord!!!!! Made the 53Man Roster!! Thank You Lord!
