Steelers Injury Report: Jarvis Jones sidelined in practice Wednesday

Jones misses practice on Wednesday with an undisclosed head injury.

Tribune-Review reporter Mark Kaboly reported that Jarvis Jones did not practice Wednesday with an apparent head injury.

Gilbert, Keisel, Miller, Woodley were limited.</p>&mdash; Mark Kaboly (@MarkKaboly_Trib) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkKaboly_Trib/statuses/390569457556283392">October 16, 2013</a></blockquote>

Right tackle Marcus Gilbert, defensive end Brett Keisel, tight end Heath Miller and outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley were limited with various injuries, but all participated to some extent.

Jones had his first real impact on a game last week against the Jets when a quarterback pressure contributed to a bad throw that was intercepted by Lawrence Timmons late in the game in New York.

If Jones is unable to go Sunday against the Ravens, Jason Worilds will step back into the starter role after, in my opinion, his best game of the season in limited action against the Jets.  The Steelers will need all the pressure they can muster against Joe Flacco & Co. if they hope to climb back into the AFC North race with a win against their biggest rival.

We'll keep an eye on this as the week progresses and update you when more details are available.
