Steelers vs. Ravens games are almost always defined by one big play.
More often than not, given the defensive reputation these teams have (or had), those big plays are turnovers. There's a Troy Polamalu interception return in the 2008 AFC Championship game, or Mike Wallace's fumble after a first down in 2012.
At the root of it, though, has been the quarterbacks - Ben Roethlisberger and Joe Flacco.
The pair hasn't started every game against each other since Flacco's rookie season (Roethlisberger has missed three of those games), but before Week 7 of 2013, in the games both of them started, at least one of them had turned the ball over at least once.
Roethlisberger went his second straight game without a turnover, leading the Steelers to a 19-16 victory in a game the Steelers never trailed. Flacco had a key lost fumble in the second of two games between these teams last year, but protected the ball well, bringing his team to a 16-all tie with under two minutes left.
Both quarterbacks played very well, but clearly, their decision-making and poise has improved over the years. It will make for a great rematch Thanksgiving night in Baltimore.
