Update: Shamarko Thomas will not return to the Steelers' Week 10 game against Buffalo.
The @steelers S @shamarko21ya has been downgraded to OUT. He will not return with his left ankle injury.

Steelers rookie safety Shamarko Thomas was helped off the field in the second quarter of the Steelers Week 10 game against the Buffalo Bills.
Thomas was in the process of wrapping up Bills receiver Steve Johnson after a reception. As he was trying to take him to the ground, it appeared Thomas's left ankle got caught underneath him. Johnson broke through the tackle after the injury, and gained another few yards.
The game was tied at 3, with the Steelers' defense having largely stopped the Bills' offense.
Thomas will likely be replaced by veteran S Will Allen in sub packages. Thomas was seen walking gingerly on the sideline between plays.
