Update: Team has confirmed that Burress will be back for 2013.
Jason LaCanfora is at it again breaking news that the Steelers are likely to re-sign Plaxico Burress to a one-year deal for the veteran minimum $940k (for someone with over 10 years of service time).
The Steelers plan to sign WR Plaxico Burress to a 1yr, vet min deal in the coming days, according to league source.

In 2012, Burress only appeared in three games for the Steelers and accounted for as many catches, though the last one turned out to be the final touchdown of the Steelers season.
This is a low-risk move for a team that currently has Antonio Brown as their lone receiver under contract past the 2013 season. Jerricho Cotchery is in the back half of a 2-year deal, and even if Emmanuel Sanders gets an extension, the Steelers will need to bring in more WRs either through the draft or with moves such as this that fill in the gaps.
Burress knows the team and hopefully a full off-season will get him looking sharper than he did in limited time last year.
