The time has come. Get your drinks ready.

Here's how this will work. We're going to host this article as an open thread. In the text above, we will be updating news, providing links and photos and making our requisite smartass comments and things of that nature.

Below that will be the StoryStream containing all of the news stories. Go there for details and such, The news stories themselves will be posted below that in reverse chronological order.

This way, we'll be able to organize all the news as it comes in, and you'll have a place to comment on what's going on, ask questions, answer questions make fun of MaLor and Chris Berman's quest to look as much like Grimace as possible.

Again, we're going to keep adding to this as the night progresses, so for now, whomever comments first gets mention in our first update.

A simple reminder to please keep the language clean, conversation more or less on topic and personal attacks at absolute zero.

As it is, welcome to BTSC's first NFL Draft War Room, enjoy!

LIVE BLOG BEGINS

6:49 p.m. - Both of the jagoff Vikings fans I'm watching this with have arrived, and we're talking about how the Vikings are going to draft Manti Te'o. They're excited. Joe bought a one-shot bottle of something called "Kinky," a pink liqueur for himself and Chuck if the Vikings draft Te'o. I really can't make this up. It happened.

7:40 p.m. - More Te'o propaganga...can anyone confirm whether his girlfriend is at the draft with him?

7:54 p.m. - Raiders looking to deal out of the third overall pick? Might that have anything to do with the slew of picks they gave Cincinnati for Carson Palmer?

8:07 p.m. - Despite Cordarrelle Patterson's leather pants (nod to John Stephens, still laughing over "what seems to be black leather pants"), we're talking Chiefs...what exactly are they doing with the first pick?

8:34 p.m. - Regardless of what move the Dolphins just pulled off, Post-Gazette writer Gerry Dulac proposes another kind of trade for the Steelers in this draft...and it involves The Judge.

8:55 p.m. - Cleveland Browns take Barkevious Mingo 6th overall, and Dion Jordan already off the board to the Jaguars.

9:01 p.m. - Pittsburgh West (Arizona Cardinals) take Jonathan Cooper 7th overall. Cue the obligatory "BUT THIS IS TOO EARLY FOR A GUARD!"

9:08 p.m. - Does Barkevious Mingo get on the field right away? Looking at recent history, he probably will.

9:25 p.m. - Lotulelei and Floyd still there, Buffalo drops to 16 to likely take a QB, making Saints (top suitor for a safety) prime to trade down. They don't have a second round pick, if someone wants a QB, they should talk to New Orleans. All this could drop Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro to the Steelers.

9:26 p.m. - Titans take Chance Warmack. Is this still really too early to take a guard? Somehow our community mock draft proved 100% correct in predicting that five offensive linemen would go in the top-10.

9:51 p.m. - the run of defensive tackles has begun...will the last one remaining last until 17?

10:12 p.m. - Jarvis Jones is a Steeler!! Video coming shortly.

10:34 p.m. - Tyler Eifert goes to Cincinnati. We'll find out first hand if there actually is any reason to have two 1st round TEs on the roster at the same time (especially when they're both much younger than Heath is).

11:25 p.m. - lots of action here...SHS's piece on why Floyd fell, along with a reason why Jarvis Jones may just be the most Steelers player there, despite his age and the team's lack of history drafting OLB in the first round.

11:45 p.m. - And that's a wrap, with the Ravens taking safety Matt Elam with the final pick in the 1st round. Was hoping they'd make a dumber pick.

12:17 a.m. - Thank you for being a part of the largest traffic day in Behind The Steel Curtain history!
