The NFL has announced the dates and times of all 65 of their scheduled preseason games for the 2013 season.
So all the half-football contests in which the players try to avoid and the fans have to pay full price for are on the docket, which is a good thing.
|1||vs. Giants||7:30 p.m.||Saturday, Aug. 10|
|2||at Redskins*||8 p.m.||Monday, Aug. 19|
|3||vs. Kansas City||7:30 p.m.||Saturday, Aug. 24|
|4||at Carolina||7:30 p.m.||Thursday, Aug. 29|
Barring any major injury, like what happened with Sean Spence in 2012, the preseason is a good time to see the rookies in action for the first time, and generally get a small taste of football before the real thing begins. The value of the preseason is fairly questioned by many, but, particularly for those first few games, and the first quarters of those games, it feels real, even if we know it isn't.
