Jerrell Whitlock, 26, of Hazelwood, and Precious Gethers, 25, of Carrick, were extradicted from Florida back to Pittsburgh Friday, according to the Post Gazette, in wake of Whitlock's charges of attempted homicide in the stabbing of Steelers offensive tackle Mike Adams.
Whitlock and his girlfriend, Gethers, who was apprehended with Whitlock, arrived at Pittsburgh police headquarters on the North Side Friday afternoon.
Writes the Post Gazette:
Ms. Gethers faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child and hindering apprehension after sheriff's deputies said she lied about being able to reach Mr. Whitlock when they were searching for him and then fled to northeastern Florida with him and the couple's 3-year-old son.
Whitlock and two others are in custody for the attempted murder June 1 as Adams was on the South Side early that morning. He was stabbed twice, and, after surgery, is expected to make a full recovery.
Duquay Means and Michael Paranay, both of Hazelwood, Pa., have previously been arrested.
Adams will participate in the Steelers' training camp beginning July 26 at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa.
