UPDATE: Game on. The Steelers have returned to the field and are practicing. In fact, Antonio Brown just beat Cortez Allen on a deep throw by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

The Steelers are off to a thunderous start to their 2013 training camp.

A severe thunderstorm blasted through the Latrobe, Pa., area Saturday, suspending practice and sending fans to shelter. Sirens wailed and thunder sounded as fans were taken to safe areas as the Steelers were in the middle of team drills.

A tarp was pulled to cover the field and players are reportedly waiting it out in the locker room. No word has been said whether practice will resume or at what point it would. They will continue to wait on the weather and if the lightning in the area clears, they may continue outside.
