Shamarko Thomas named Steelers Digest Player of the Game

His hit on Redskins running back Chris Thompson was loud enough to have woken my dog up from off the couch.

Shamarko Thomas crunched Thomas late in the game, one of six tackles the rookie safety would make, forcing a fumble and leading to a Steelers turnover - all because he saw the ball carrier, and he exploded into a lane in order to make the hit.

He's been named Steelers Digest's Player of the Game.

It had to be some hit, considering he beat out Jonathan Dwyer, and his 68-yard rushing performance in wake of Le'Veon Bell's quick exit from Monday's 24-13 loss to Washington.
