Emmanuel Sanders may have Fantasy Football value

The absence of Mike Wallace, and the general lack of multiple options, makes Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders a legitimate sleeper Fantasy receiver among the Steelers.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

In Fantasy Football today, the depth of a team's wide receivers is critical. Those late-round steals can be the difference between success and failure.

Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has looked outstanding in the Steelers' first two preseason games, and with a general lack of fantasy value among the Steelers' receivers - Antonio Brown has a history of not scoring touchdowns, Heath Miller looks to be on the shelf for at least a few weeks into the season - quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will find immediate comfort and security with Sanders.

He made two nice catches in the Steelers' loss to the Redskins, and added three more against the Giants. He's been targeted five times in those two games, catching everything thrown at him.

It's a contract year for Sanders as well - a player who, throughout his short career, has been productive whenever he's been on the field. Now, with the absence of Mike Wallace, Sanders will get even more looks down the field (13.2 yards per catch and he hasn't run a fly route yet).

You may not even have to draft Sanders at all in 12 team leagues, but he's someone to keep an eye on for waiver moves early in the year.
