The loss to the Bears has left the struggling Steelers at 0-3 for the first time since 2000. The Steelers may be off to London for their first international regular season game ever, but before they can take to the turf in Wembly Stadium Steelers Nation must first answer 5 Burning Questions.
1. 4th quarter comeback drives once were Ben Roethlisberger's calling card. His signature play, the post two minute warning touchdown has been transformed into a turnover.
What the hell is going on? Is this simply a product of poor pass protection? Did Ben's injury do long term damage? Is Steelers Nation wise to worry that its franchise quarterback might be "damaged goods?"
2. In years past, Steelers Nation lamented the whole "musical chairs on offensive line." Vs. the Bears the Steelers put out the following combinations at tackle (and perhaps a few others not listed):
LT Adamas RT Gilbert
LT Adams RT Beachum
LT Beachum RT Gilbert
LT Gilbert RT Beachum
LT Beachum RT Adams
Do you agree with "Flavor of the Month" at offensive tackle? Or do you think the Steelers would be wiser to let this group mature and take its lumps together?
3. When Antonio Brown made his one handed catch at the back of the end zone, Chris Collinsworth remarked that in Brown the Steelers had replaced Mike Wallace. Do you think that Mike Wallace manages to make that catch?
4. Before injuring his lisfranc, many pundits in the press seemed to anoint Le'Veon Bell as "Le'Veon Franco Jerome Harris Bettis." Word is that he may start in London. Assuming he really is ready to play now and not after the bye, do you agree with starting Bell, who has four carries - all in preseason - to his name?
5. Now that you've seen them without him, describe ways in which the Steelers offense is different with Heath Miller in the game.
There you go folks!
And because the Steelers are playing in London, please feel free to use British spelling and grammar conventions. Colour it in your thoughts as a labor of love.
